1. What CrawlBiz Does

CrawlBiz is an SEO audit and website analysis Chrome extension that helps users identify on-page SEO issues and opportunities.

The Extension can analyze information available on the webpage currently open in the user’s active browser tab, including SEO metadata, headings, images, links, social metadata, structured data, and visible webpage text.

Most SEO analysis is performed locally within the user’s browser.

2. Information Accessed by CrawlBiz

When the user runs an SEO audit, CrawlBiz may access information from the active webpage, including:

• Page URL
• Page title
• Meta description
• Canonical URL
• Robots directives
• Viewport information
• HTML language
• Headings (H1 through H6)
• Image URLs and ALT text
• Internal and external links
• Link anchor text
• Open Graph metadata
• Twitter Card metadata
• Schema.org structured data types
• Favicon information
• Visible webpage text
• Basic content statistics such as word, character, sentence, and paragraph counts

This information is used to perform SEO analysis and generate audit results.

3. Local Processing

CrawlBiz performs the core SEO audit within the user’s browser.

The SEO information collected from the active webpage is processed locally by the Extension to generate:

• SEO scores
• SEO issue detection
• Meta analysis
• Heading analysis
• Image analysis
• Link analysis
• Social metadata analysis
• Content analysis
• SEO recommendations

CrawlBiz does not send the full webpage HTML, scraped webpage text, SEO audit results, image data, heading data, link data, or social metadata to the CrawlBiz backend as part of the standard SEO audit.

4. PageSpeed Analysis

CrawlBiz provides a PageSpeed/performance analysis feature.

When the user chooses to use the PageSpeed feature, CrawlBiz sends the following information to the CrawlBiz backend:

• The URL of the webpage being analyzed
• The selected analysis strategy, such as mobile or desktop

This information is sent to:

The CrawlBiz backend uses this information to request performance results from Google’s PageSpeed Insights service.

Google may process the submitted webpage URL in accordance with its own privacy policies and terms.

5. Third-Party Services

Google PageSpeed Insights

When the PageSpeed feature is used, the webpage URL and selected strategy are sent through the CrawlBiz backend to Google PageSpeed Insights to obtain website performance information.

CrawlBiz does not send the user’s personal information to Google through this feature.

For information about Google’s privacy practices, please refer to Google’s applicable privacy documentation.

6. Data Storage and Retention

CrawlBiz does not maintain a user account database for the Chrome extension.

PageSpeed Cache

PageSpeed results and the associated request URL may be temporarily cached in server memory for approximately 15 minutes. This temporary cache is used to reduce repeated requests and improve performance.

The cached information is automatically removed when the cache expires or the server process is restarted.

Rate Limiting

CrawlBiz temporarily processes the client’s IP address for security and abuse prevention through rate limiting.

Rate-limit information is held in memory for approximately 1 hour.

The IP address is not used to identify or profile individual users.

Server Logs

CrawlBiz’s backend may generate technical server logs containing information about API requests. These logs may include the requested webpage URL and other basic technical request information.

Server-log retention is managed by the hosting environment and server configuration. CrawlBiz does not use server logs for advertising or user profiling.

7. Personal Information

CrawlBiz does not intentionally collect personal information such as:

• Name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Passwords
• Google account information
• User account credentials
• Payment information
• User profile information

CrawlBiz does not require users to create an account to use the basic extension functionality.

Please note that a webpage being analyzed may itself contain personal or sensitive information. CrawlBiz’s standard SEO audit processes webpage information locally and does not intentionally transmit the webpage’s visible text or SEO audit results to our backend.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The CrawlBiz Chrome extension does not intentionally use cookies, advertising trackers, advertising pixels, or behavioral tracking technologies.

We have not implemented analytics services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Sentry, Datadog, or similar tracking services within the CrawlBiz extension or its backend for user profiling.

9. Data Security

CleverBiz takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by CrawlBiz.

Data transmitted between the CrawlBiz extension and our API is sent over HTTPS.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Data Sharing

CleverBiz does not sell, rent, or trade CrawlBiz user information for advertising purposes.

Information is shared with third-party services only when necessary to provide a requested feature.

For the PageSpeed feature, the webpage URL is transmitted through the CrawlBiz backend to Google PageSpeed Insights to obtain performance results.

11. Children’s Privacy

CrawlBiz is not specifically directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the CrawlBiz Chrome extension.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to CrawlBiz, our services, or applicable legal requirements.

Any updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
